Don't be a Jerk This is unlikely to be a problem, but to clarify anyway: insults, bullying, and discrimination on any basis are strictly prohibited. If you disagree with someone, whether they're a member or offsite, criticize their actions rather than insulting them personally. Breaking this rule is likely to result in being banned from the forum.
Keep it PG-13 This is a Proboards rule, and an appropriate one on-forum. Swearing is acceptable when kept to a minimum. Sexual content should not be an issue because it obviously doesn't belong here.
Content Warnings There's a tag for your thread if it may not be suitable for all members. This is appropriate if, say, a bit of vulgarity gets into the mix, or if the topic is something like cat sexuality, or contains discussions pertaining to sensitive subjects such as abuse. Please use it when appropriate. If you forget, staff will tag it for you and send you a reminder.
Posting Protocol If a thread starts getting off the original topic, we encourage you to go ahead and make a new one. Keep your threads in the right boards. Do your best to maintain proper spelling and grammar, and avoid chatspeak like the plague. If you don't have anything in particular to add but just want to express agreement, you can 'like' a post instead of replying.
Shoutbox Protocol To maintain a welcoming environment, any profanity in the shoutbox must be censored. Feel free to help out any guests or members with questions to the best of your ability. Also try to keep 'drama' out of the shoutbox. If you really want to discuss something of that nature and feel it still suits the tone of the site, consider making a threat in the general chat board.
