middle anthropomorphism

most of my cats tend to fall under - what i call - 'middle anthropomorphism'. while they tend to exhibit some realistic cat behaviors (fights are a lot of screaming/bluffing, toms / dmab cats tend to stay away from the nursery at all , cats can't cry because they possess no tear ducts, kits are born blind/deaf/unable to walk right away for example) i also like to have them being capable of smiling, laughing, lgbt cats exist in my world (as well as being accepted and supported), they use healing herbs, and so on.

for me, at least, this gives me the most mileage out of my characters/their interactions with the world and each other. that said, i would like to see how 'low anthropomorphism' and 'high anthropomorphism' work out, and i might try both of those someday. but for now, i'll stick with this for the time being.

so, does anyone else's cats follow this 'middle anthropomorphism'?

I'm also in the middle. While my cats are capable of exhibiting human emotion (smiles, laughter, sadness) and see in the human spectrum of colors, they can't cry and rely on body language to help them express emotion. Kits follow the real development cycle of cats and they begin to speak from about two months and onward. Fighting begins as bluffing but depending on how serious the situation is, there may be physical interaction although this is more common to the Clans. My cats also use herbs but I'm thinking of herbs being a last-resort if other measures don't work (like licking a wound and keeping it clean). LGBTQ cats do exist, as well as both monogamous and polygamous pairs, but it's mostly mentioned in passing (I may have accidentally created an asexual/aromantic character, though it works well with the storyline).
